Purple K is Powering Up. Welcome Back.
If you’re reading this, you probably already know what Kizzy is.
Kizzy is the pioneer of social media betting, and our mission is to prove that this category can scale. Since we started Kizzy back in 2024, the influence of social media has only grown, and so has our conviction.
But you probably haven’t heard from us in a while.
Since we launched in December 2025, our team has worked tirelessly to learn from our dedicated players. We shipped a regulated platform, launched two completely novel betting games, dropped a gigantic rewards program, and collected a massive amount of feedback. All the while, the market has tanked, and like the rest of the teams building on Monad, we’ve had to fight hard to win favor from customers. We’ve learned a huge amount about what players really want, and we’ve revised our roadmap by listening closely to the advice of our top players.
If you’re a power player, or a web3 early product user who cares about getting close to the team's building innovation, this essay is for you.
We started this blog as a way to connect with our most dedicated customers, the ones who care about why we’re building and want to know as much as possible about what we’re learning. If you’re not already, join the conversation on Discord, follow us on X, or simply start playing today on app.kizzy.io.
Progress Since Launch Day
Before we get into it, let’s walk through what we’ve shipped since launch day.
- On December 15, we launched the world’s first licensed and regulated social media betting platform. This was the product of over a year of exhaustive legal work and intense software auditing to build a battle-tested, scalable platform with serious security, player protections, and activity tracking in place.
- On January 6, we pushed an MVP liquidity provisioning mission and referral mission, along with a number of bug fixes.
- On January 12, we conducted a massive Monad-partnered rewards campaign to heavily bonus our first month of users. There’s a lot more to say about that, and I’ll cover it in a future section.
- On January 28, we shipped our first new game mode, which allowed users to bet on the timestamp of a post, and we also unlocked the platform with adjusted legal learnings to support 80+ new countries.
- On February 4, we shipped a structural change to support 2x faster settlement across all existing game modes.
- On February 13, we launched a new community program to run ongoing jackpots in Discord, and also began stealth research into providing liquidity to markets ourselves so it becomes easier for users to place the first bet.
- On February 15, we shipped a substantial overhaul to our frontend architecture, making it significantly easier for our developers to iterate on the UI going forward.
- On March 2, we quietly shipped a change to allow users to navigate around the website unauthenticated, ahead of changes to add new login methods.
- On March 6, we publicly announced caption betting, a game mode where users can bet on the first letter of a tweet caption.
Our team is relentlessly shipping and learning information on what players want and what they don’t like. For us, it’s a constant challenge to come up with new and clever ways to keep people betting, process player requests, and execute on those requests quickly.
We are full steam ahead.
What Have We Learned?
From the first three months of going live with Kizzy, we’ve picked up on a few obvious behaviors:
- You must instill confidence in players that they can profit.
- Bonus rewards are extremely powerful when structured right, and detrimental when structured wrong.
- Liquidity is everything in pari-mutuel. It is nearly impossible to bet on an empty pool.
- Betting is a business of treating your VIPs right.
- Crypto customers do not want to see or feel regulation or geofencing.
- It should require zero effort to get into your platform.
- Monad is a small world, and many players’ friends use other chains.
- Betting is about feeling competition. Novelty betting can work, but it must still feel competitive.
In general, what we’ve learned from the first three months of building Kizzy is that betting is all about giving players exactly what they want. In betting, players want to walk away with more money than they came with, and it must feel completely effortless to try. Otherwise, they’ll go to the next best platform.
Here are some more thoughts on the three broad categories that capture most of these learnings.
Bonuses and Rewards
Betting is extremely competitive, and no seasoned bettor is going to waste time with a novel app unless there is a huge carrot.
Betting is a financial experience, and no one wants to risk depositing money on a platform that looks new, feels risky, and includes regulations they don’t understand. So your answer is: bonus players right.
We’ll elaborate more on Monad Momentum Wave 1 in its own section because there’s a lot to unpack, but here’s the short version: bonus rewards must give players money to play with, and they need to increase the probability that those players come back. If you give out money and forget about bringing the player back to play, players will just take your bonus and run, as they should.
Effortless Experience
Similar to the above, the platform cannot feel restrictive. It must behave exactly as users expect, and the scrutiny is especially high because betting products are financial in nature.
The challenge for operators is balancing customer needs with regulation. Building in gambling is initially daunting from a risk perspective. Proper legal partners and advice are hard to come by, and it takes slow trial and error before you really understand what you’re comfortable doing.
But if you can open up your onboarding flow to bring in as many customers as possible, while still maintaining a risk appetite and operational plan that is sustainable for the business, you’ll see the change immediately in the metrics.
Competition and Liquidity
The games, or content, on betting platforms have to feel exciting.
We’ve seen time and time again with each new game launch that players keep coming back to betting on views. Despite the obvious manipulation risk for creators under 1 million followers on X, players still find it the most fun.
We’ve tried bringing players into creator-controlled games, but attracting liquidity there is much harder, likely because betting on captions or timestamps just isn’t nearly as competitive as betting on the primary metric of creator performance, which is views.
We’ve also seen other competition primitives work well in social media betting, such as Fantasy Top, but of course the game model has to support it sustainably and can’t be built on a bonding curve that ends too soon.
Second, games need liquidity. They cannot be empty. It is a terrible ask to expect customers to provide first liquidity on their own. They need a strong incentive, and you are going to incur a cost either way through bonuses or liquidity support, so you may as well consider making the markets yourself, which is something we are actively exploring.
Monad Momentum Wave 1
Despite our launch app rolling out with a less-than-perfect onboarding flow, games, and liquidity environment, we saw a tremendous explosion of growth with Monad Momentum.
Monad Momentum was a reward release of 3,400,000 MON, which we planned with the Monad Foundation to airdrop directly to player wallets after the first month. Since the beginning of launch, we had promoted this bonus reward opportunity heavily, and people were extremely excited to play Kizzy because of it.
What we did not expect was that after the bonus rewards were released, everyone would go away.
What made this especially troubling was the positive reception. Players were overwhelmingly positive about Kizzy’s first bonus drop for mainnet players. There was some negative feedback from testnet users who felt forgotten, since the rewards were designated for mainnet Purple K only, but we had a strict first-month rollout plan that we had agreed to and wanted to see through.
So what happened?
We had an insane release. We airdropped 3,400,000 MON to every single player who played and earned Purple K. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. But after we announced that the qualification period was over, everyone left.
Completely obvious in retrospect.
Right after the drop-off, which is visible on our Dune dashboard, we had a series of internal discussions about what went wrong and how to prepare for the next one.
We reached consensus on a few key learnings:
- The presence of rewards gives players confidence that they can profit, so more bonuses are absolutely worth exploring.
- Bonuses must sufficiently reward the player while also incentivizing more play on Kizzy.
- The Monad partnership was huge, and we needed to keep showing Monad why supporting Kizzy creates value.
Back at the drawing board, we devised a new strategy for an improved bonus feature. One that would give us a scalable platform to really win mindshare from players.
We took inspiration from iGaming platforms and leveraged our gambling edge to come up with a bonus rewards program that cannot work in normal prediction markets. Gambling-style bonus programs are extremely powerful and do not port cleanly into prediction markets.
We wanted a bonus program that could be structured into many different formats while still achieving a core objective: driving real value to Purple K in a way that helps the platform grow continuously.
Our first partnered bonus drop was not ideal, and we suffered meaningful drop-off from it, which you can transparently see here. But it forced us back to the drawing board and caused us to adjust our roadmap.
Now we’re on a stronger path toward a major feature release, another partnered bonus release, and a complete iteration on how we give players what they want most: confidence that they can win on Kizzy.

Our VIPs Have Changed Our Roadmap
But Monad Momentum Wave 1 is not the only thing that has shaped our roadmap.
As we mentioned before, betting is a business of treating your VIPs right, and we’ve had the pleasure of serving some of the most dedicated, supportive, and thoughtful minds in the Monad community.
The feedback from these players has directly impacted, and will continue to directly impact, how we build. It inspires us every day to ship better products for our customers. We get feedback from the entire community and read everything, but our VIP network often magnifies the feelings of the broader player base and communicates them to us in a way that really captures what players across the board are feeling.
Without getting into too much detail and taking away from a future blog post that will cover this more deeply, here are the main things we are actively resolving and rolling out very soon based directly on input from our amazing VIP community group chats.
If you’re in one of those group chats, keep doing you.
No crypto customer wants to see or even feel regulation in a betting app
Apps can be regulated to protect customer funds, but regulation should not get in the way of platform growth.
We felt this hard when we launched with geofencing and got massive feedback about our legal structure forcing KYC before deposit. To all players: we heard you loud and clear, and we are moving the earth to improve this. More on this soon in a future update.
Liquidity is everything
Special shoutout to iPadee for this.
When we launched, and even today, we have tons of empty pari-mutuel pools just waiting for liquidity to be deposited. Since then, we immediately put up a liquidity mission, which will soon be updated to become more usable, and we’ve recently started experimenting with providing liquidity to pools directly.
We view liquidity strategy as a major part of how we improve the Kizzy platform. Liquidity is the fuel of the betting platform, and we have to continue embedding it into the product if we want to grow anywhere.
Missions are key
Our mission center is the basis of our bonus system and future rewards. But it is critical that it actually works for users.
VIPs play for missions, and we should evolve the mission center so it can be meaningfully used and so users can actually feel the benefit of Purple K. Purple K should always be scarce, but the behavior of claiming rewards should be felt by everyone, not just the top spenders.
What Makes a VIP?
A VIP is a player who has figured out how to game the Kizzy system in a way that allows them to scale spend on the platform and stand out from the typical bettor base.
These are the sharp players studying the mission center, calculating the bonus rewards, and devising a clear strategy to benefit from Kizzy. In doing so, they pressure us as a platform to keep improving and to find a sustainable way to keep them around and betting.
VIPs challenge us to become a stronger and better platform.
We’re changing things to make it easier for everyone to feel what it’s like to become a VIP by adding liquidity to pools, making it easier to win Purple K, while still keeping Purple K scarce, valuable, and somewhat unpredictable in a fun way.
In general, we’re always looking for new ways to attract VIP bettors and learn from them.
In honor of our dedicated VIPs, shoutout to the players below. This list is not exhaustive, but we’re recognizing the top players we recently rewarded as part of the early rollout announcement of a new and improved Monad-powered bonus campaign.

New Closer Partnership With Monad
So, for those still reading, we’re pleased to announce that we are now moving into the rollout of a new Monad-fueled rewards campaign that uses a completely new approach to bonusing player accounts.
But the core stays the same: Purple K.
We’re refueling Purple K rewards, and as we announced on March 6, we’re going to be doing Purple K-based drops over the next few weeks based on activity and at random times.
This flew over most people’s heads, with only 15 likes on Discord, but consider yourself early if you’re reading this.
We’re not looking for an explosion of interest like last time. We’re looking for people who are going to stick around, be part of our success story, and get rewarded for it.
Our focus with Monad is identifying a repeatable and cost-sustainable method to grow our metrics. That means a carefully planned rollout of rewards, mixed with opening up the product, and continued iteration based on VIP and broader player feedback.
While this blog post is only a preview of more news to come, it does not change anything about how this bonus program builds. Every single Purple K that a player has earned counts.
We see this current phase as a buildup period. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing rewards to player accounts in gradual amounts based on Purple K as we gear up for a major shift in the product, one that we’ve implied here and that some already know about.
But at the top of the mountain, when everything is in place, we’re going to roll out the majority of the Monad-powered events based on Purple K.
And this starts now.
Any Purple K earned since then counts.
So What’s Coming?
Expect more information about the rollout of rewards and continued reward pools for Purple K. If you want a bigger share of each reward pool, you need to earn more Purple K.
Second, expect changes to the mission center, liquidity provisioning, and a huge number of improvements across the app as we gear up toward a second launch.
Third, expect more details in a separate post about the launch of kizzy_v2, a step-function increase in a social betting app that looks better and makes it much easier for your friends and family to start playing.
The Power Up is Starting
I want to say something directly to the players who’ve been here.
Thank you.
Showing up for a product this early, when the UX still has rough edges and the markets are still finding their rhythm, takes genuine conviction in the idea.
Social media betting is going to be enormous. We already see markets on Polymarket for Elon Musk tweets turning over $15 million of volume in a week. The volume of attention flowing through YouTube, TikTok, and X every single day is staggering and still growing. The idea that you can’t bet on the outcomes of that attention is going to look absurd in a few years.
We built Kizzy because we believe the people who figure this out first should be rewarded for it.
Purple K is how that happens, and we’re powering things up again in an even bigger and better way.
The competition is coming back. And this time, it’s different.
We’ve learned a massive amount.
You knew us for the most transparent and craziest drop of Monad Momentum. This time, we’re flipping the approach on its head while staying transparent and focused on giving players what they want.
It’s three months in the books for us, and we’re getting ready to take even stronger shots on goal.
Shape our story with us. Join the conversation.
Till next time.
