Fees: what you pay to deposit and withdraw

Kizzy charges no deposit or withdrawal fee. Here is where the difference comes from.

Kizzy doesn't charge a fee to deposit or withdraw. If the amount that arrives is a little different from the amount you sent, the difference comes from one of the steps below. None of them is a Kizzy fee.

Where the cost of a deposit or withdrawal comes from: network gas, the Relay bridge, the 10 MON reserve and conversion on Uniswap, with no Kizzy fee
Value only changes at these steps, and every one is outside Kizzy.

Network gas

Every blockchain charges a small fee to process a transaction. Your wallet shows it and pays it when you send a deposit. On Monad it's a fraction of a cent.

Conversion

Your Kizzy balance is held in USD. Deposits are converted to USD at the market rate through Uniswap when they arrive, and withdrawals are converted back the same way. Because the rate moves with the market, the same amount of MON can be worth a little more or a little less between your deposit and your withdrawal.

Bridging

When you deposit from another chain, or withdraw to one, Relay moves your funds between that chain and Monad and charges a bridge fee. Examples are Base, Solana and BNB Chain. Part of that fee is fixed, so it takes a bigger share of a small amount. Depositing MON on Monad skips the bridge.

The 10 MON reserve, once per account

The first time you deposit, 10 MON stays in your Kizzy deposit wallet. It covers the network gas needed to process your deposits. Everything above 10 MON is converted to USD. The reserve is held once, not taken from every deposit, and it isn't returned.

For example, if your first deposit is 100 MON, 90 MON is converted to USD and 10 MON stays as the reserve. If your next deposit is 100 MON, all 100 MON is converted.

Card deposits

Card deposits run through Unifold, a payment aggregator that routes your payment to its own providers. Those providers set their own minimums and fees, which Kizzy doesn’t control, so the amount credited is what arrives after their fee.

Unifold isn’t available in the countries where Kizzy is restricted. In those countries the Use Cash button is hidden, and crypto is the only way to deposit.

Common questions

Is there a minimum deposit? On your first MON deposit, send more than 10 MON. The first 10 MON fills the reserve, so a first deposit of 10 MON or less adds nothing to your USD balance.

Is there a minimum withdrawal? Yes, when you withdraw to another chain:

Withdrawing toMinimum
Base, Arbitrum, Solana or Polygon$5
Ethereum$10
BNB Chain$15

I deposited 93 MON and withdrew 82 MON. Where did the rest go? Usually two things together. On a first deposit, 10 MON stays as the reserve. And because your balance is held in USD, your withdrawal was converted back to MON at that day's rate, which had moved since you deposited.

I deposited $3 and got $2.80. Why? That deposit came from another chain, so it crossed the Relay bridge and was converted. The bridge fee has a fixed part, which takes a bigger share of a small deposit.

Does Kizzy charge anything to withdraw? No. You may pay network gas, and a bridge fee if you withdraw to another chain. The withdrawal screen shows the estimated fees at the bottom before you confirm.
